A survey of 1,000 quick-service restaurant (QSR) hires by AllianceHCM found that inefficient onboarding processes led more than half of affected workers to quit before starting independent work, contributing to high industry turnover rates exceeding 135%. The study highlights that inefficiencies in paperwork, training coordination, scheduling communication, and exit procedures significantly reduce employee trust and retention. QSR operators can improve workforce stability by adopting human capital management technologies that streamline documentation and automate communication to enhance the employee experience.
